IFP Group Services
Our suite of strategic, cost efficient building envelope thermal simulation, engineering, consulting and representation services are designed to improve product performance, time to market, all while remaining committed to product quality and performance . See below for our services.

Turner Engineering & Consulting (TEC), a member of International Fenestration Partners, is an approved National Fenestration Ratings Council (NFRC) simulation laboratory that can perform the following thermal simulation standards: ANSI/NFRC 100, ANSI/NFRC 200 & NFRC 500. Turner Engineering & Consulting has a staff of NFRC approved simulators for both standard and LEAFF methodologies. All simulations are completed using Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) WINDOW & THERM software programs and the current, approved version of the International Glazing Database (IGDB).

LEAFF METHODOLOGY
STANDARD METHODOLOGY
IFP group members are approved to perform PHIUS (Passive House USA) calculations via the Blue Path Label Program in conjunction with Turner Engineering & Consulting (TEC). All simulations are completed using Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) WINDOW & THERM software programs, Complex Glazing Database (CGDB) approved environmental conditions, the PHIUS Window Calculator and the current approved version of the International Glazing Database (IGDB).

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT TESTING

With over 70 years combined experienced in product development, testing and certification, IFP group members work as a cohesive team to perform pre-test engineering calculations, thermal simulations, air/water/structural research and development testing and comparative market research analysis to determine the viability of a newly designed product. Product design research and development conclusions are based on performance data derived from approved simulation software, calibrated physical structural testing equipment and engineering calculation formulas that will be used during final certification testing, simulation and engineering analysis to ensure accuracy and repeatability.
SERVICES:
-
Product pre-production design review
-
Iteration thermal performance evaluations to define maximum performance of design variations.
-
Pre-test engineering calculations
-
Comparative market research to compare performance, material and cost
-
Research and development air/water/structural testing and remedial design comments
